Achyutharaya temple

This was a temple, nearly equal to The Vijata vithtala temple , except for the Stone chariot.
This is a Vishnu temple, main shrine is missing(like most "non-Shiva" worshiping temples is the region).
This was built by King Achyutha Deva Raya(1530-1542), and so is named after him.
There is a Shrine of Garuda,(the mythical bird, considered to be vehicle of Vishnu) opposite to the main temple, which had the Vishnu. There is a shrine of Devi in the temple complex, like big temple complexes of vijaya vitthala and virupaksha, this temple also has a long market(bazaar) and a pushkarini(lake).
